Got some of my gear up and working again. That's a bit of a weight off. Started taking notes for the next Live Beat today. Cruising upcoming entries on FB events. The site is saturated but I think I have an answer to that. It involves moving people away from event creation on that site as, yes, it can be effective, but there is very little creativity or artistic and marketing energy put into the very diluted sea of happenings. Eyeballs, eyeballs, eyeballs. That's what people want on their promo tools. That's what people want on their band, their product, their service, their charity, their news, and even their ice cream - well you get the idea. I messaged a programmer today recommended by my friend and part of The Great Idea graphic department in regards to moving people's eyeballs to this app-worthy idea. It is something that can not only help Salem artists, businesses, and other events programming, but can be adopted and made local to anyone. The idea has steps that need to be fleshed out still. I need a small team of people that know what they're doing where I don't, but that's one thing I know how to do- have an idea and then put diverse archetypes of folks in a room together for us to mull on and make it go. http://img.desmotivaciones.es/201103/motes2.jpg
